Tactile Stadium Maps
Tactile Stadium Maps
Chelsea Football Club’s tactile stadium maps are now at Stamford Bridge.
These have been produced by Direct Access Group, and Chelsea are the first football stadium to implement them.
In addition to braille and tactile symbols, there are QR codes for a BSL (British Sign Language) instructional video and ADC instructional audio.
Where Are They Located?
One tactile stadium map will be situated at the Stamford Gate entrance.
The other will be at the Britannia Gate entrance to the ground.

The Britannia Gate entrance is home to the first of two Tactile Stadium Maps.
Upon entering the Britannia Gate entrance, please make your way to the left side of the entrance.
Walk pass the match day fixture board. Before you reach the security bag check, you will see the free standing Tactile Stadium Map.
More Details
This Tactile Stadium map is on the west side of the stadium.
It is the closest of the two Tactile Stadium Maps to Fulham Broadway station.
Stamford Gate

The Stamford Gate entrance is home to the second of two Tactile Stadium Maps.
Upon entering the Stamford Gate entrance, please make your way to the left side of this entrance.
Before you reach the security bag check, you will see the free standing Tactile Stadium Map.
More Details
This Tactile Stadium map is on the east side of the stadium.
It is the closest of the two Tactile Stadium Maps to West Brompton and Earls Court stations.
Tactile Stadium Map Features
Features
Each of the Tactile Stadium Maps has a key of facilities on the left and the stadium map to the right.
For each of the facilities listed, there are risen icons, easy to read text, (using both capital and lower case lettering) and a braille translation of the text.
The map itself features the same risen icons of the facilities, including accessible entrances, the club shop and bars.
Extras
At the top of the map, two QR codes have been added.
The first links to a BSL video.
The second to Audio Commentary.
The Tactile Stadium Map is tilted, so the front is lower than the back.
The approximate height dimensions are as follows:
Front - 85cm or 33.5 inches.
Back - 110cm or 43.3 inches.
