Football Supporters' Association

Who Are They?

The FSA is the national, democratic, representative body for football supporters in England and Wales.

They are the leading advocates for supporter ownership, better fan engagement, cheaper ticket prices, the choice to stand at the match, protecting fan rights, good governance, diversity, and all types of supporter empowerment.

As the national organisation they have regular contact with the EFL, FA, National League, Premier League, Women’s Professional Leagues Limited (WPLL), as well as a whole host of other organisations within football such as the Professional Game Match Official (PGMO) and Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA).

Football is for all and the FSA work closely with organisations such as Kick It Out and Level Playing Field to that end. They have supported the establishment of scores of BAME and LGBTQ+ fans’ groups over the past few seasons.

Their casework helps hundreds of fans every year who feel they’ve been poorly treated by their clubs, stewards, or police.

The FSA give those fans a voice, the best possible advice, and even legal support where necessary.

Join The FSA

There are four categories of membership for the FSA and they are all free – membership for any individual fan and three other types of membership for supporters’ groups and other entities such as fanzines.

They are affiliate, associate or allied. They are all free.

All tiers of membership are embedded in our structure, weighted towards affiliate members who receive more positions on our National Council and more votes at the AGM.

Individuals can join for free using the button below.

Fans For Diversity

Who Are They?

The Fans for Diversity campaign is a partnership between the Football Supporters’ Association and Kick It Out, established in 2014.

Its aim is simple – to celebrate diversity in football to ensure all fans feel safe and welcome at the game, regardless of; age, disability, gender, race, faith, sexual orientation or any other protected characteristic.

Football tribes, football colours and the love for your team – those are the only things which should separate one fan from another.

Fans For Diversity understands the euphoria football can bring and the passion of being part of a community; shared experiences, the highs and the lows, all ‘in it’ together.

They believe no one should feel excluded from something which connects people in a way nothing else can.

Being visible, being welcomed, being accepted.

It’s a difficult journey for some and they want to make it easier, making football a place where people can enjoy our national game without fear of discrimination and abuse.

More Information

Fans for Diversity has had a transformative impact with fan-led activity – opening up the game to thousands who previously thought live football wasn’t for them.

Led by FSA staff Hannah Kumari and Nilesh Chauhan the aim of the Fans for Diversity campaign is to support and empower people to enjoy a fantastic matchday experience – to overcome exclusion or a perception of exclusion, to engage clubs and other supporters to welcome those who might believe football is for ‘them’ not ‘me’.
