The Bright Room

The Bright Room Sensory Room

The Bright Room sensory room is a bookable space run by the Chelsea Foundation, designed to support those with sensory needs, anxiety, and similar disabilities.


The capacity of this room is a maximum of 10 supporters and 2 specially trained members of staff.

Accessing The Bright Room

Accessibility

The Bright Room is accessed via the East Stand lower tier concourse. 


Firstly, enter via the Stamford Gate entrance. 


Follow the stadium round to the right side - this will lead you to the ramp for the East Stand lower concourse.


Once at the top of the ramp, continue along the tunnel. 


A sign for The Bright Room hangs from the ceiling, alongside the entrance, which is on the left.


A sign is on the wall next to the entrance saying The Bright Room.


Entry

No ticket is required but confirmation of booking may be needed for stewards on the way to The Bright Room.

Inside The Bright Room

Facilities

The Bright Room aesthetic is fittingly football themed. 


A mat which replicates a football pitch, with green flooring to match. 


Football beanbags, next to a window to the Stamford Bridge pitch.


Royal blue mats, beanbags and sensory lighting to represent our Chelsea colours.


A football boot and a match ball are amongst the sensory touch items available.


Toilets

There is an accessible toilet within the room.

Quiet Spaces

Kingsmeadow

Kingsmeadow has a newly renovated quiet space based in the south-west corner of the stadium, next to the accessible toilet. 


This capacity of this space is 2 adults, an adult with a child or a wheelchair user. 


This space is suitable for those with sensory needs, breast feeding mothers and for praying.


Supporters cannot watch the game from the quiet room and require a match ticket to enter the ground.


There is a steward on the door and stewards within the stadium can help with escorting from other stands within the stadium.
